 Investigate an artist of your choosing and make an artist page in your sketchbook regarding the artist's use of Interaction of Text and Image.

 

John Baldessari


John Baldessari uses and interaction with text and image by using unpainted plaster to fill in missing shards of Greek vases. 



He also did canvas paintings that are empty he was very unique in this field of work



In Baldessari's work, photography, painting, and text combine to examine the plastic nature of artistic media.









What have you learned about Text & Image?


Text and image can be used in different examples including shapes, drawings painting and even sculptures.






How do contemporary artists use the concept of Text & Image in their artwork?


Artist use the concept of text and image in their artwork as an concept to express what has happened in their life or what they are expressing as a feeling like a certain idea they have.






How might you be able to use Text and Image in your own art?


How believe that i can use text and image in my own art is by making the words come out of in a way to express a certain event that's playing out in my art like in live action.





Is there something that you found in your investigation that specifically interested or inspired you?


One thing that i found interesting in my investigation is how artists and video game creators of film and art use words to their advantage to show a certain scene that they like.
